Integrative CAD_CAE_CAM for Complicated Panel Metal Stamping of Oil Pan Used in the Car Engine.pdf
Oil pan used in car engine is one of the important structure parts in the car, which is, in general, drawn deeperand difficult to be formed. In this paper, the deep-drawing processes of the oil pan used in the engine of “Small Flag” Car of theFirst Automobile Manufactory is analyzed by using the integrative CAD/CAE/CAM technique of stamping die, including theCAD software CATIA and the sheet-metal stamping CAE software KMAS developed independently. Through the analysis of diestructure and formability using the KMAS software, it is successful to change the primary twi-off deep-drawing to the one-offdeep-drawing, which solves the key technique difficulties for the manufactory.
